This page will never be complete, and hardly ever completely accurate. It is my attempt to keep up with additions, corrections and general activity of the Amateur Radio Community.
11-14-2006 First Glynn Amateur Radio Group Meeting. The name of the group was decided on. Meeting was presided over by Don Wellons (N4CMA and David Little (KD4NUE).
12-12-2006 Second meeting of the Glynn Amateur Radio Group. Officers were elected and the club structure was discussed. Plans to apply for a Club License and Callsign were presented. Club call to be WX4BWK (hopefully).
12-13-2006 Website started. Lots of additions and changes implemented over the weeks to follow.
12-15-2006 FCC makes Press Release announcing action on 05-235 as well as revision to 01-140. CW will be dropped as a requirement for Amateur Radio License testing, and Pactor III is once again legal on the 80m band.
12-19-2006 FCC Releases Report and Order in “Morse Code” proceeding
01-08-2007 Playback Announcement (752*) added to Home Page. News Menu added and populated. Third Glynn Amateur Radio Group meeting held - a powerpoint presentation on Repeaters and their Use was the main topic at the meeting.
01-09-2007 Download Area added. This page added and some backtracking done to try to hit the highlights of the past month.
01-10-2007 Added STATS page for info on New HAMS, and the dismal story on the amount of CallSigns that have been forfeited, are Expired awaiting Forfeiture and those due to expire in the coming month.

01-10-2007 Mailed out the application for Club License to the ARRL VEC Department. This is the second step. Forming the Group was the first. The next step will be applying for a Vanity Club Call. WX4BWK is the first choice.

01-11-2007 Added some files to the Download area on Winlink 2000 and Airmail. Also cleaned up modt of the overlaps in the Navigation Bars overlapping the text areas.
01-11-2007 Added info on what to bring to a VE Testing Session - Thanks to KG4WPD for supplying this, as well as pointing out things that I have missed in the design. It helps to have an extra set of eyes, and he has helped me find some bad links and formatting errors that; when corrected, have enhanced the site....
01-16-2007 Added New General Question Pool. This will go into efect July 2007. Also added the schematic graphic file for the new question pool.
01-24-2007 Our Club Callsign was issued by the FCC on January 17th, 2007. It is KI4SYH. I received it in the mail on January 22nd, and applied for the Vanity Cakllsign WX4BWK on January 23rd. The Club Call was first used on the Tuesday night Glynn Amateur Radio Group net. Additional choices for the Vanity Call were WW4BWK, W4BWK, K4BWK, KX4BWK. I am relatively confident that our first choice, WX4BWK, will be issued to us in the coming weeks. Additional files have been listed in the Download area, The Testing menu and sub menus have been updated to reflect the next testing session as well as our VE team members. 01-26-2007 In the past week, a Solar Activity page has been added.
01-26-2007 Pictures of the Glynn-Brunswick 911 Center have been added to the Gallery. The Gallery feature of the site only allows for 2 different “galleries”, so the Bike Ride Acrioss Georgia (BRAG 2005) pictures have been combined with the GB-911 pictures in the existing Gallery. As the volume of pictures to share increases, the Gallery will be edited to reduce the number of redundant or repetitive pics.
02-13-2007 Our “Club Call” Vanity Call application has been approved and processed. The previous call, KI4SYH has been cancelled by the FCC. The Official Club Call for the Glynn Amateur Radio Group is now WX4BWK.
